Last weekend for Lake Jennings spring photo contest

Lake Jennings at night

This Memorial Day weekend is the last weekend to take photos for the 13th annual Lake Jennings Spring Photo Contest! Take advantage of this weekend’s catfish opener and extended hours to get your prize-winning photo.

The Spring Photo Contest offers participants a free day pass to explore and photograph this local East County gem. Participants should check in with campground or bait shop staff to receive their free wristbands before exploring the lake.

Submissions can capture any aspect of the lake, including the wooded shorelines, meandering trails, mountain views, wildlife or visitors enjoying all that the lake has to offer.

The district will award monetary prizes in two divisions, adult and youth. First-place winners in each division will receive $150, second-place winners will receive $100 and third-place winners will receive $50. The district will award contest winners at a public board meeting this summer.

Entering the contest is easy. Upload photos and complete the online form at hwd.fyi/LJphoto. Entries are due by Wednesday, May 31 before 11:59 p.m. There is a limit of three photo submissions per photographer, and photos may not contain watermarks. The complete set of rules, entry and model release forms are available at hwd.fyi/LJphoto.

Visit lakejennings.org for up-to-date information on hours and access.
