We offer the services you need to take care of your health, family, career and future.
Medical Insurance
New employees may choose from 3 plans: Kaiser HMO, Blue Cross Value HMO and Blue Cross Advantage PPO. We pay 100% of the premium for employees and dependents enrolled in the Kaiser plan, and 100% of the "employee-only" coverage in either of the Blue Cross plans. Employees with dependents enrolled in the Blue Cross Value HMO plan contribute $50 per month. Employees with dependents enrolled in the Blue Cross Advantage PPO plan contribute $65 per month.
Dental Insurance
We offer a choice of Delta Dental PPO or DeltaCare HMO. We pay 100% of employee and 50% of dependent premiums.
Vision Insurance
We provide a vision plan through VSP and pay 100% of the premium for employees and dependents.
Medical, dental and vision insurance are available to full-time employees.

Paid Time Off
We combine vacation and sick leave accruals into one pool called Paid Time Off (PTO). Accrual starts at 24 days per year and increases after 5 years of service and beyond.
Holidays
12 paid holidays per year, including 2 floating.
PTO and paid holidays are available to full-time employees.

California Public Employees' Retirement System
The district contracts with the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) to provide a defined benefit retirement plan. Pension payments are determined by a set formula and are payable for life. Qualifiying employees are classified as either “PEPRA” or “classic” members in accordance with applicable law. PEPRA members receive the 2% at 62 formula and pay 7% to CalPERS in fiscal year 2023-24. Classic members receive the 2.5% at 55 formula and pay 8% to CalPERS. For employees who meet the membership qualifications, membership in the CalPERS system is required. The district is also a Social Security participant.
Deferred Compensation
Employees may participate in an optional 457 deferred compensation plan to set aside additional retirement income. We currently match up to $3,500 per calendar year in a 401a plan for PEPRA CalPERS members and up to $1,000 per calendar year for classic members.
Retirement benefits are available to full-time employees.

Life Insurance
Life insurance is 100% paid by the district. Term life of 1.75 times annual salary to a maximum of $200,000, with additional Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage.
Long Term Disability
An employee contributes ⅒ of 1% of salary towards LTD premium. This benefit pays ⅔ of the salary, up to $10,000 per month, should the employee become disabled for an extended period of time. We do not participate in the State Disability Insurance (SDI) Program.
Education Reimbursement
Employees may be reimbursed up to $4,000 annually for qualifying coursework.
Employee Assistance Program
Personal, financial and legal counseling services are available to employees and their dependents.
Parking
Provided by the district at all work sites.
Service Awards
Gifts and recognition are available at each five-year interval.
