Beautiful Gardens with Less Water:
(Sunset Films) This video is for adults. It presents helpful hints for planning your landscape, improving your soil, and choosing the proper plants for your yard. 32 minutes

California Water Story:
(California Department of Water Resources) The California Water Story is appropriate for all ages. This video is about the history of California. It shows how water has been transported to California's cities and farms for almost 200 years. 16 minutes

California's State Water Project:
Meeting the Challenge: (California Department of Water Resources) This video is appropriate for grades 9-12, adult. This video has excellent footage of aqueducts, reservoirs, pumping plants, and the Delta. It shows a variety of water professionals on the job, and is packed with information. 14 minutes

Clean Water, Clear Choices:
(National Association of Conservation Districts) Striking visuals of non-point source pollution explain water quality problems and suggest solutions for both urban and rural areas. Current information for high school level through adults. 14 minutes

Flight to the Future: (Dubs Incorporated) This video is for adults and young adults. It discusses the Eastside Reservoir Water Project ( Domenigoni ). The video illustrates the completed project and how it will improve the water supply for Southern California. 13 minutes

Just A Drop In The Ocean:
(Earth Vision) This video for children is about pollution prevention. It shows how many of our household cleaning products end up in our water supply. 15 minutes

Story of the Colorado River Aqueduct, The:
(Dubs Incorporated) This video tells the story about building the Colorado River Aqueduct. It explains how this project helped Southern California grow into a thriving community. 17 minutes

Touch of Magic, A:
(Abracadabra Entertainment) This video contains clips from water presentations at various schools. Water conservation ideas are presented through the use of magic, puppets, and songs. 15 minutes

Water Cycle, The:
(California Department of Water Resources) Graphics, experiments, and a very theatrical announcer explain the water cycle and water treatment to grades K - 3 and 4 - 6. 12 minutes

Water Engineering: (PBS Video) Water Engineering is a video for high-school students. This video incorporates mathematical equations with the use of water. 15 minutes

Water Follies "A Soak Opera":
A Soak Opera is a children's video. This cartoon shows both people and animals using water. The theme is that everyone needs water and it should not be wasted. 7 minutes

Water Game, The:
(Instructional Television) The Water Game is a children's video appropriate for elementary school children. This video is presented in the format of a game show hosted by Shot-Gun Tom. In this video, children are asked questions about the uses of water. 14 minutes

Who Wasted the H2O:
(Instructional Television) This video for children on water conservation is presented by the San Diego Repertory Theater. Someone stole the H2O and two detectives set out to find the culprit. 25 minutes

Your Water, Your Future:
(Metropolitan Water District) This video is appropriate for grades 6-12. It has exciting computer graphics depicting California's water distribution system, with emphasis on the aqueducts and problems with the Bay-Delta area. 10 minutes

Balance of Nature, A:
Appropriate for junior high - adults. Shows where Southern California gets its water. Describes the imbalance of water supply and water demand with the solution being the Peripheral Canal. 7 minutes

Billion Gallons a Day:
(Older film) Appropriate for high school - adults. Discusses Southern California's need for water and the Colorado River Aqueduct solution. Traces the path of the Colorado River Aqueduct. 30 minutes

Changing Delta:
(Older film) Appropriate for junior high - adults. Describes the history and problems of the Delta and discusses the Peripheral Canal. 17 minutes

Colorado Portrait of a River, The:
Appropriate for all ages. A scenic film that describes the sources of water in the Colorado River and the many uses of the river. 30 minutes

Free-Flowing Rivers:
Appropriate for junior high – adults. Discusses California water projects. Also shows the California wild and scenic river system and its protection by government. 20 minutes

Gardening California Style:
Appropriate for adults. Describes ways to conserve water in the garden through alternative plants, soil preparation, water schedules, etc. 11 minutes

Geothermal: The Roaring Resource:
(Older film) Appropriate for high school – adults. Focuses on power tapped from geothermal reservoirs and natural hot springs in California. 27 minutes

Guzzler Gang:
Appropriate for younger children. Cartoon characters show water wasters at home and teach how to conserve instead. 8 minutes

Journey for Survival:
Appropriate for adults. Shows UNICEF's provision of supplies for third-world countries and aid in their development of water treatment and transportation systems. 15 minutes

Lifeline:
(Older film) Appropriate for high school – adults. Describes the beginnings of the State Water Project and focuses on the building of Oroville Dam. 27 minutes

Noah Water to Waste: Appropriate for junior high – adults. Television personality Richard Simmons talks with audiences about saving water. 9 minutes

State Water Plan:
(Older film) Appropriate for adults. An engineer's report on the future State Water Project. 25 minutes

Story of the Colorado River Aqueduct, The:
Appropriate for upper elementary - adults. Tells the story of the construction of the Colorado River Aqueduct. Includes excellent historical footage from the 1930s. 17 minutes

Troubled Waters:
(Older film) Appropriate for junior high – adults. Shows water importation, treatment, distribution, and usage in San Diego County. Discusses the State Water Project and the Colorado River Aqueduct. 12 minutes

Water California Style (DWR):
Appropriate for junior high – adults. Discusses the history of water in Southern California. Discusses the aqueducts, water quality, reclamation, and desalination. 15 minutes

Water California Style (MWD):
(Older film) Appropriate for high school – adults. Describes the history of California and water. 25 minutes

Water Follies: A Soak Opera:
Appropriate for all ages. Cartoon characters demonstrate the uses and abuses of water around the home. Strong conservation message, no narrative, but the film is done with humor. 7 minutes

(Older film) Appropriate for high school - adults. Discusses and shows the benefits of the State Water Project. 27 minutes

Water for Southern California: Appropriate for upper elementary - adults. Shows what Southern California used to look like and discusses the Los Angeles Aqueduct, Colorado River Aqueduct, and the State Water Project. 7 minutes

Without Water: Appropriate for all ages. A humorous approach showing how many things we take for granted that require water to produce. Describes a woman who tries to live a day without water. Message is conservation. 5 minutes
