Online
Bill Pay is FREE and makes it easy for you to manage
your Helix Water account 24/7 from home or work. Once
you have established an online account, you can begin
to take advantage of several features including:
option to Go Green
and receive your bi-monthly bill electronically (paperless
billing) and pay online
establish automatic recurring payments through
your checking or savings account (please check with
your financial institution to see if recurring payments
can be withdrawn from your savings account) and
view your bill including account information
and usage history.
To get started, you will need to have your Helix account
number and service address available and then SIGN
UP. If you are already signed up, MAKE
A PAYMENT.

(single transaction)

Select
this option if you would like to have an amount you
designate deducted from your bank account and provided
to Helix Water District to be applied to your water
account. This is a one-time payment and does not require
a username or password. If service interruption is
pending or has occurred, please call our Customer Service
department at (619) 466-0585 to advise them of your
payment. You must provide your confirmation number in
order to avoid service interruption or have service
restored.

 This
option is available 24 hours a day. We accept VISA,
MasterCard, Discover Card or American Express. This
process is accomplished by a third-party vendor and
a convenience fee applies.
No receipts are given for credit card transactions,
but a confirmation number will be provided.
If service interruption is pending or has occurred,
please call Customer Service at (619) 466-0585 to advise
them of your payment. You must provide your confirmation
number in order to avoid service interruption or have
service restored. Your payment will post to your
water account by the end of the next business day.

Banking Through Your Own Financial Institution

 Helix
Water District will accept payments made through your
financial institutions online payment service.
Typically, it takes 24 to 72 hours for us to receive
your payment electronically, however, some financial
institutions send their payments via a paper check in
the mail. Please check with your financial institution
to see which method they use. Because of this time delay,
we do not recommend this payment method if your
water account is in or near shutoff status or water
service has been interrupted.

| jAutoPay
(automatic bi-monthly deduction)
|
Select
this option if you would like your bi-monthly bill deducted
automatically from your checking account. With this
service, you still will get your Helix statement in
the mail as before, but there will be no need to write
a check. Your bill will be paid automatically from your
checking account at your financial institution. THIS
SERVICE IS FREE.
To
sign up for this program, click on "Automatic
Payment Application" and print the application.
Complete it by hand, being sure to date and sign it,
then mail or deliver it to our Administration Office.
Be sure to include a voided check. It takes up to six
weeks to activate, but when effective you should see
the AutoPay message on your bill.
The
AutoPay application is an Adobe Acrobat PDF file. If
you receive an error message or have any trouble opening
the file, click on the "Adobe" icon above
to install a FREE
updated version of the program. So far, this procedure
has solved all known difficulties. Please give it a

Mail
|
 If
you send your payment and bill stub in the envelope we
provide, it will be received by our lockbox processing
center and posted to your water account on the business
day in which it was received. You may also send a check
or money order payment directly to our Administration
Office at:

If
you do not include your bill stub, please be sure to
provide your service address and/or account number and
affix the proper postage.

 You
may bring your bill and payment to our Administration
Office at 7811 University Ave., La Mesa, CA 91942, between
the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday. Although the District has other facilities around
East County, payments only are accepted at our admin
building in La Mesa during the hours specified above.
(Credit or Debit cards are NOT accepted in the office.)
Also, we have a secure DROP BOX located in our
customer parking lot on the south side of our building,
which is accessible 24 hours a day. Please note that
payments deposited after 4:30 p.m. will not be posted
to your water account until the next business day.

Project
Suspended
|
Helix
Water District board of directors voted to suspend
the El Monte Valley Mining, Reclamation, and Groundwater
Recharge Project . The project halt is primarily
due to a delay in the availability of advanced treated
recycled water and increased project cost.
