excellence award again

During a recent
board meeting, Helix Water District accepted the Peter Barron
Stark & Associates Award for Workplace Excellence TM.
Helix also received this award for 2004 and 2006.
This 'Best of the Best' category comprises 204 organizations
with approximately 74,000 employees surveyed, said Stark,
a consultant who has done employee satisfaction studies for the
past 19 years.
Every two years, Helix surveys its workforce to determine workplace
satisfaction. Survey results are used by Helix management to assist
in creating a positive workplace experience for employees and
setting future goals.
This survey is an independent tool that we use to measure
ourselves against other organizations," General Manager Mark
S. Weston said. "Our employees take great pride in their
work and are outstanding customer service ambassadors. We also
provide superior products to our customerquality water,
community involvement, and public outreach to name only a few.
Helix Water District provides drinking water to 260,000 customers
in La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, El Cajon, a small area
of Lakeside, and some of the unincorporated areas of San Diego
County. Helix uses ozone as its primary disinfectant, creating
high quality drinking water for its consumers.
